Media Request Form
The Office of Media Relations is available every day to respond to inquiries from the news media, including student reporters. Our Media Relations staff responds rapidly to media requests, and we encourage you to call our office if you have any questions about the University of Miami, our faculty, departments, or hospitals. Our office can also help put you in direct contact with a wide variety of experts in numerous specialties. Experts on timely topics are posted on miami.edu/experts. Please note that we do not approve requests, we simply review and facilitate contact with the appropriate person.
As the University of Miami is a private university, arrangements must be made in advance to take photographs or shoot video footage of the Coral Gables campus, including building interiors, and a member of the Media Relations staff must accompany cameras on campus. Dormitories on campus are off limits to press unless there is prior approval from the Office of Media Relations.
For University of Miami visitors, either a valid UM parking pass, required 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, or a paid meter is necessary. We recommend that media visiting campus park in the Pavia Garage (one block off of Stanford Drive) and obtain a temporary day pass.
Please call 305-284-5500 on weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Eastern Time, to arrange for permission. On weekends or after hours, news media on deadline may page the office by calling 786-229-0627 or 786-229-0626.
Media inquiries for the Miller School of Medicine, such as the need for medical experts, should be directed to the Office of Communications at the Miller School of Medicine, 305-243-3249.
